ANDROID × MCP

AndroidAgenticWiki

Give your coding agent the project context.

AndroidAgenticWiki is my public, Git-backed knowledge vault for Android development. It brings project rules, implementation blueprints and Android skills into a coding assistant’s workspace through Model Context Protocol.

01

Make the project’s rules available at the point of work

General Android advice may not fit a project’s versions or architecture. The vault keeps build constraints, UI standards and architectural preferences together with concrete implementation blueprints. Teams can fork those files and adapt them to their own stack.

Official Android skills are included through a Git submodule. Clone with submodules so the skill files are present, and review updates as part of maintaining the vault. A checked-in rule is only useful while it still matches the project.

Start with a local copy of the vaultShell
git clone --recurse-submodules \
  https://github.com/trinadhthatakula/AndroidAgenticWiki.git
cd AndroidAgenticWiki
npm install

Then follow the README to connect your MCP client to this folder. The optional setup command and npm launcher can update assistant configuration files.

02

Files are the integration boundary

The documented Node path runs @modelcontextprotocol/server-filesystem against the local vault. A compatible MCP client can then read the rules and blueprints from that directory. The repository supplies the knowledge and workflow around this filesystem bridge.

Keep the configured filesystem path scoped to the intended vault. The README covers Android Studio and other clients, plus an optional Tolaria path. Setup scripts can edit assistant configuration files, so review their behavior before running them.

03

Keep evidence and review in the loop

Obsidian and its web clipper are optional ways to collect documentation in an inbox. The ingestion workflow turns selected references into proposed rules and blueprints that can be reviewed and tracked with Git.

Useful context can improve a starting point; it does not guarantee correct code or current APIs. Check the source documentation, reconcile conflicting rules and run the project’s normal validation. The separate Android Agent Brain project has its own capabilities and access requirements.

A few practical questions

Is Obsidian required?

No. It is an optional interface for viewing and collecting knowledge. The documented Node.js path connects the vault through a filesystem MCP server.

Why clone with submodules?

The repository uses a Git submodule for official Android skills. A source ZIP does not include those submodule contents.

Does the public Wiki include Android Agent Brain’s search features?

These are separate projects. The public Wiki’s documented Node integration uses the filesystem MCP server; Android Agent Brain is a private project described on the Android tooling page.
