Fuel Pulse is my Android app for checking petrol and diesel prices in India, calculating mileage and tracking trip costs. Start with the price in your area, then put it in the context of the journey you’re planning.

A price per litre only tells part of the story. To estimate a trip, divide the planned distance by your vehicle’s expected mileage. That gives the litres needed. Multiply those litres by the fuel price you expect to pay.
For a return journey, enter the total distance in both directions. Use mileage that reflects your usual driving conditions; a vehicle’s advertised figure may differ from everyday use.
The calculator on this page is a web tool you can try before installing. It starts blank and runs in your browser. Your entries are not saved or sent to a server by the calculator.
Read the date as well as the price.
The India price viewer loads the latest available dataset and shows its publication date. Availability can vary by fuel and location. A published dataset does not promise an instantaneous price at every pump.
Check the local retailer for the price you will pay. Use the date, source and unit shown in the viewer when comparing values. Petrol and diesel prices per litre cannot be compared directly with a price per gas cylinder.

This web calculator uses your inputs, not a live price feed. Traffic, driving conditions and vehicle load affect actual mileage. Tolls and other trip costs are excluded.

Where can I check the app’s current features?

Does the calculator fetch my location or a live price?
No. Enter your own distance, mileage and price per litre. You can use the linked India viewer to look up a dated reference price.
Can I use it for CNG or LPG?
This calculator uses kilometres per litre and rupees per litre for petrol or diesel. The India viewer also has CNG and LPG fields where available, but those use different units and do not belong in this calculation.
